Putzatron Damaged in Battle with Trucksaurus!

Just an FYI to those who may not have received a phone call from ..someone.. following a series of unfortunate events Putz was ran over by a trunk on Friday (9/28) evening while in Waterloo. I’m fairly confident that his injuries are not life threatening but serious nonetheless. He currently has a broken pelvis (in several spots), a broken ankle, and several broken ribs. They are waiting for another doctor to tell them if Putz needs surgery and if that is the case then he will be transferred to the University Hospitals in Iowa City for that.

I will attempt to keep everyone up to date probably via telephone and/or text messages. I know Dave is the one that told me so I will assume he is also going to be keeping people informed. So, if you are so inclined, keep Putz in your prayers and hope for a good recovery. My number can be found on my Facebook page if you want to give me a shout.

9/30/07 UPDATE: Putz isn’t as bad off as first thought. After several rounds of xrays and multiple doctors in and out of his room they don’t believe that he has any bones that are really broken. He has a possible hairline fracture on his pelvis and some other issues with the pelvis that will need lots of time to heal and work them selves out. He is probably going to be moved to Cedar Rapids early this week. I’ll keep this up to date.

10/2/07 RE-update: Putz is still in waterloo and apparently will be moved to CR on Wednesday.

10/2/07 UPDATE: I’ve been told that Putz will be moved to St Lukes in Cedar Rapids today (Tuesday.) I’ll try to send everyone a text message when I find out where he is going to be. It’s possible that some people might get that info from Darcy or Belinda as well.

10/10/2007: Been a while. Putz is out of the hospital.. has been since Saturday. He’s up and around using a walker and is crashing at my place for a while until he is slightly more handi-capable. His phone is working again so feel free to give him a call.
